When I first saw these paintings in a local exibition , I was told that this is Tanjore painting... but subsequently found that it is not ( courtsy: internet).... then Deepa ( http://deepashome.blogspot.com) told me the name as shinger painting..... the poster is getting decked up by the gold foil and stones.... Thats my understanding on Shinger Painting. Regards mohuya
